We departed the Great Wolf around 4pm. Our adventure at the Great Wolf was one to be remembered by all for years to come.

The beauty of the lodge takes your breath away as you enter the driveway and are welcomed by the Great Wolf sign.
The lodge hails all with its massive carved drive way statues.
Our check in time was 4pm but the kids were allowed to begin swimming at 1p. We all raced to the indoor pool to enjoy the cool air and amenities of Great Wolf.
Nothing prepares you for the beauty of the Great Wolf as you enter the doors and look around the lodge. A rustic tribute to the great wolf is as awesome as the kid friendly arcades and swimming area.
The kids swam until 4pm check in then we prepared to be wowed by our Grizzly Bear Suite. As huge as the Great Wolf himself the huge apartment sized suite boasted two bedrooms and 2 baths. The living area had a tv along with both bedroom.
The beds were huge and the rooms big enough for all the kids and adults to have los of moving room. There was also a small balcony to en joy a leisurely book out of doors.
The Great Wolf was an awesome place to stay and enjoy time with family.
Lodge – $465.00
Food – –$75.00×9
**Tips**
The Great Wolf was an awesome adventure and cost quite a bit more that our other hotels. Because it was planned for in advance the Great Wolf was an affordable experience.

The spender of the afternoon heated greeted us as we arrived at our vacation destination Washington DC. Our suites were booked at the Clarion College Park about 3 blocks from The University of Maryland.
The rooms were nice and spacious with a very comfortable bed. The rooms also had nice TV’s. The room provided lots of move around room for 9 people. The bathroom was rather small.
Our day began around 10am with a ride on the Metro to the National Mall. Our first stop was the Washington Monument. It was a long HOT walk. The Monument is a beautiful tribute to the first President of the United States.
We did not arrive early so we did not get tickets to go up in the monument. We walked on along the National Mall to the Lincoln Memorial.
We next arrived at the WWII Memorial and it is a spectacular tribute to those who gave so much for freedom in WWII.
Abraham Lincoln is one of my favorite presidents. It was an honor to the tribute paid to him at his memorial. Breathe taking is the only word that can describe the memorial. We took lots of pictures.
The walk along the memorial is nice and has a nice breeze but is still HOTT. There are plenty of benches and vendors who sale ice cream and water along the way to give even the oldest walker a chance to make it to the memorials.
Our next stop was the Smithsonian Museums. There are several museums and we visited a few before we began our track to the nation’s capitol. The kids and I took pride in singing that old “Schoolhouse Rock I’s am just a Bill” as we walked along the trek to Capitol Hill. We were not signed into law but we did get a honorary “HOTT AS HELL” mention.
We had lunch on the mall for $40.00 which consisted of hot dogs, fires and ice tea.
We again ventured in the Smithsonian and then headed back to the Metro and home.
One of the highlights of being on the National Mall was seeing the Presidential Motorcade Roll By!
The National Mall is a beautiful tribute to those who help built it and those who persevered the union.
My favorite exhibit was Lincolns in the Smithsonian. It was awesome and offered so much information. The kids like the Natural History Museum.
